Did you know nowadays they call vacations of parents-to-be "babymoons"? Some might label me as cheesy, but I did not make this term up. Anyways, we went on our babymoon the last week of March to Longboat Key, Florida (just outside of Sarasota). The weather was perfect: 80s during the day and no humidity. It was very relaxing. We spent our days lounging in the sun, playing paddle ball, reading and taking walks on the beach. Jason got some golf in and was, of course, drooling over the Fountain and Donzi boats. We both ate lots of seafood and ice cream. Jason's Aunt Kathy and Uncle Tom spend their winters in Venice, so we met up with them twice. Even got to see Ed and Reba, and Jill, Stan and Michelle (also relatives of Jason's). And since the "snow birds" outnumber the young folks in Florida this time of year, we went to Babies R Us twice to work on our registry. No mad house like it is at the Cincinnati store. We forgot our camera, but here's a photo with my camera phone of us at Hemingway's, a restaurant in St. Armands Circle (a popluar spot to shop and eat) near the condo.
